i am a research associate in plenio's group at ulm university and was a research associate at the institute for mathematical sciences at imperial college london. I did my phd in the quantum optics group at the university of potsdam and studied physics at philipps university in marburg and the optical sciences center in tucson, arizona. research-wise i am mainly interested in quantum many-body systems and their fundamental equilibrium and dynamical properties. i have worked on entanglement scaling in critical and non-critical systems,
on dynamical properties, including relaxation after a sudden quench (lieb-robinson bounds, quantum central limit theorems),
on ground and thermal states of ultracold atoms in optical lattices (superfluid - mott insulator transitions, adiabatic heating and cooling), in particular mixtures of fermionic and bosonic atoms,
and became recently interested in quantum state tomography (compressed sensing, singular value thresholding),
a complete list of my work can be found under the link publications on the top of the page. |
